SINCE LAST MILESTONE :


Sketched out necessary code outline for PHP Databases.


--> Planned NMS Capstone Dating Event, met with John Bell to refine code structure / get advice

--> After a minimally (minus the food!) successful event, I sent out a lot of e-mails.

--> Joe & Gary responded

--> Met with them to learn about how php, setting up databases, etc. worked with queries, etc. etc.

--> Set up the databases and tried some coding with dummy data for stories that night -- met with Joe the next day.

--> Successful implemented signing up and logging in

--> Successful got story information to show up on site

--> Went home and implemented adding story

--> refined site design with rounded corner divs and 2 template designs

--> worked on logo




CURRENT WORKINGS :
**Getting each user page unqiue with their signup information \ profile pages

CONCEPTUALLY SPEAKING :

+ Idea to somehow work outside of the web maybe using the rock idea
+ Cemetery 2.0 : Project that links deceased people's grave sites to online memorials, much like myspace is currently doing, but great project because it links people's memories together, and though those places will never move, there is a strong connection to that part of the land.

LOOKING FOR Programmers. How about being part of something huge, LIKE A CAPSTONE PROJECT, and get credit to do so? I am looking for some talented programmers, maybe just one if you got what it takes. The online portion of my project is going to need some PHP coding. My project is an online mapping system to link people to places and memories. The goal of the project is to create an awareness of digital saturation and connect our memories and experiences of the outside world with each other when we are online. As far as Design goes, I have that down, and some DHTML, so I need maybe some advanced DHTML knowledge, as well as PHP knowledge.

WHAT I NEED OUT OF PHP :
* User Accounts
* Database to link with DHTML for images
* Uploading abilities

WHAT I NEED OUT OF DHTML :
* Link with the PHP for dynamic loading of uploaded images using dynamic objects.
